He did start by saying that she was getting sexier. I doubt there are many men, specific fetishes aside, who would complain about their girlfriend getting sexier.
This game is clearly broken and unbalanced. The tech tree is borked. They skipped about 4000 years of research, jumping the bronze age straight into iron smelting.
@wankerLin
"I feel like I have lived long enough... I'd like to pass on the torch"
He is 100% powered by Philosophers Stone. Would also explain how stupidly powerful and long-lived he is.
Merlin's test got two colorless tubes too. So each tube measures a different element meaning that he doesn't have an affinity for every element.
The chapter seems to imply that affinity is a measure of how much divine protection you receive in that element. I assume divine protection improves...
@Paru The MC just going from movie to movie breaking flags and abusing tropes to get ahead but always getting ending up somewhere unexpected would a fun read.
I went back and read chapter 1 again. I don't believe that Diaz was given any reward beyond lordship over the fief. Or at least Diaz has no idea he was given any reward since this was all told from his perspective. Diaz is illiterate and didn't really understand everything that was happening...
@PrivatePublic I would honestly LOL if that was the case.

@Kirin-kun
"Even billionaires can end up in jail. Look at the news, lately."
All this says to me is that these billionaires were either not financially powerful enough to get away with what they wanted, didn't leverage that wealth properly, or got complacent and annoyed the wrong people...
Good old moral relativism. I am amazed nobody was compared to Hitler yet.
No matter what world or age in human history, might has always made right. Its just a little more roundabout nowadays. The strong can do whatever they want as long as they don't kick a metal plate and aggravate somebody...
@Lament She cost a pretty penny to be fair.
The upfront investment is pretty unreasonable but I think we all agree that the husband is getting some insane ROI on his wife.
@xPureHavock you forgot a few CRUCIAL details like, 7-8 years spanning puberty, the period of time where a persons physical appearance changes the most, a different name, and everybody claiming that you are a different gender (not changed gender, but was always a different gender). Like...
