If this is how all their dates keep going, I can just imagine them getting married and then suddenly disappearing away to the other side in the middle of their vows
@Kireato Well yeah but, judging by the fact that everyone in the room had tried them before, they're definitely something that some people in that world do eat, and like, it's really hard to pick a bunch of blueberries (and they totally are just blueberries) and not end up with an even mix of...
@shinsenryuu the joke is that they're going to extreme lengths to get out of doing any work with some really flimsy excuses, and being very blatantly open about it, yet nobody is catching on
The premise could've led to something decent but it's kind of still just falling back on all the usual tropes anyway.
Also, the massive amount of copy-pasted character art started bothering me a lot as soon as I noticed it

In reality, when a brain running on testosterone is changed into a brain running on estrogen (or vice versa) the person's sexuality won't change at all, but I guess there's no accounting for the magic fantasy transformation aspect of gender bender.
Really makes you wonder, where does it all come...
Normally I'd be annoyed about a troll translation like this, but with how creepy and weird and bad the original was I feel like this is the only way I'm gonna be able to enjoy it anyway
I sat through the whole anime for this and I regret it. Even if you're for some reason okay with adult x minor and parasocial relationships, get ready for at least 4 volumes of subtext (half of which is het) and zero progress.
There's a ridiculous amount of copy-pasted art here, and I can't tell if I'm only just noticing it or if it's been like this from the start, but now it's driving me nuts.
If you compare the way L looks here to the previous chapters, you can see that this is probably the exact chapter where the artist finally decided what L would actually look like, from his hairstyle to his sitting mannerisms.
