Nice to see Oribe giving a funeral to the random soldier guy that got killed protecting Matabei a couple chapters ago. Also, poor Hata. The rest of the Matsuratou didn't seem to really care about Oribe, but he came back and made them do it. In the end, he ends up getting killed for doing that.

@colxeric No, that's his "switch". It's what he did when he switched to a different dialect or when he was told to beat up that former pro wrestler guy.

@Kaarme Probably just a pre-caution. I doubt it completely erase his finger prints, but it probably lowers the chances his finger prints appearing on surfaces if he ends up accidentally tearing or losing his gloves. Plus there might be certain times when wearing gloves will seem suspicious.

What kind of soldier doesn't carry his own weapon? Ouki, Shin and practically everybody else never needed someone to carry their glaive for them unless their not in battle. That's what Makou gets for not keeping his guard up in battle.
