@miyako19 -- Promising to get married is precisely what I was referring to as barely toeing the starting line. Life/romance doesn't end at a proposal. I don't buy for a minute that there isn't anything to write about once a couple becomes a couple. What more do I want? How about the story of the...
Finished their story? They barely toed the starting line. I'm still following with the sliver of hope that HERO-sensei will pick up the main story from the proposal.
Some basis in reality here. We tend to perceive larger chunks of time in terms of a percentage of the time we've been alive. So a 16-year-old's 2-weeks feels about like a 45-year-old's month and a half. Tell a little kid "next year" and you might as well say "give it a decade." By the time...
@SomeGuy1 -- Well, we've seen that it isn't like the targets turn into mindless single-obsession zombies who think of nothing but the suggestion. They go about their days and stuff too. For example, the most recent girl has been under the suggestion that she wants to win his love for days now...
Meh, personally I was more into the story before the cheat character trope. It's the downside that makes it interesting. Just like in video games, toggling on god mode can be fun, but usually only for about 20 minutes tops. After that it's boring.
You'd better believe if the genders were reversed, people would think it's hot that a high school boy was giving some cougars the D in exchange for room and board, but if a girl does it... I guess the sex-positive movement has a long ways to go.
Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. Not holding my breath here. Something'll happen like all of them approaching him preemptively to bow out because of sisterhood and crap.
Started reading because having the word "marriage" in the title, it must surely mean we're in for some feel-good married life manga. I'm starting to get the vibe that any possible marriage will be the final chapter, if at all.
"All that and he still didn't make a move!?! My spineless husband. Do I need to pin him down and do it myself? Maybe he's not attracted to me after all? Maybe that's it. Men are beasts after all. Everyone knows that. It couldn't be... Could it?"
