whenever I go back to the beginning and see the characters drawn all skinny, I like to imagine that they all paunched up from eating lots of Nikaido's food the entire series instead of the style changing.

I've grown to really dislike this manga. Can't help but feel that regardless of all the moralizing it attempts, the author's still getting off on all the rapey shit. We're really being dragged through the mud now...
Really inspired by this. I was in a really bummer place for a few months. Feeling really disconnected. I wish there were more tales like this. I don't think it could work on any other format of medium than manga. Being just characters on a page, their most contrived state, they still seem...
I don't hate this, but I still hate Griffith! It's interesting to me: I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be feeling during these chapters. I'm constantly hoping for his eventual downfall, or for someone to witness his corruption, but it's presenting him as legendary hero benevolent god...
I've started re-reading the manga as we approach the end and I'm surprised how skinny Kaiman and Nikaido are at the beginning (in comparison to the present). It makes sense since they've been eating Gyoza for the entire duration of the manga. I'm loving the idea that this was intentional.
