@Tearsax
I think a few other mistakes are in there but her plan probably relies on him being too angry/stupid to figure it out.
One:
The empire hasn't had TIME to identify him, get to his home village, and kill his parents yet. The fact that she knows means she's actually a bigger suspect...
it always amazes me when I see people act as if you can only do one thing at a time in hyper focus.
It's ridiculous to claim that you can't treat a sick person while also investigating Pit Viper. It's even more ridiculous when you realize the kids have a far too large stash of it which makes...
@darekpawlo Short term, maybe? Long term? That's a whole bunch of food that suddenly became a threat. Farms would either not be sustainable or they'd need to be expensive biodomes to prevent misama from coming in. A miasma explosion in a major city is millions of humans, rats,roaches, pigeons...
It looks like an extremely well calculated move to wait until she started to accept that her crush has no hope, get somebody else to point out his lust for her to shock her, and immediately kiss her while she's in a state of confusion and maintain that confusion with said kiss. Getting Jill...
@chronos5884
It seems pretty obvious to me. Magicians would take their child away as a matter of course and we're getting the reports from a biased source that gets to take them away.
If they REALLY hated or resented their child that much they could have outright killed her, dumped her off at...
I took a glance at the comments and noticed that there's a whole bunch of arguments here completely invalidated by the fact that the age of adulthood in this setting is 16. By the standards of the culture we've seen laid out before us, this is blatant cradle robbing. The fact that he's harboured...
@Qelix My guess is that her paying the criminal's debt meant she was the new owner since the guy might have been gambling with the estate as collateral. She swoops in, the debt is all owed to her now, and husband is dumb enough to not notice rubber stamping his "protection" of his criminal...
@Why_Not_Add_More_Gun That's an assumption that has ruined many otome reincarnated characters through the power of arranged marriages. (like what it seems clear the prince and her father are trying to setup via proving that they get along) Astrid is currently solving that problem through sheer...
@Why_Not_Add_More_Gun
She doesn't know the military capabilities of the country. She's actually being very reasonably cautious by not starting a fight she might lose. We don't know the magical capabilities of the original Astrid, but if she was anywhere close to this one and her family got...
Did you... not read the previous chapters where she refuses to give consent and he forces himself on her repeatedly for hours? He clearly does not give a damn about consent whenever he gets worked up. He simply has favorites. Consent is merely a bonus that happens after the fact because he...
Dude has nearly unstoppable bouts of bloodlust and rape the instant he gets slightly annoyed but we're supposed to think his mom is in the wrong for being so goddamn terrified of him? Really?
It's probably a good thing he's not becoming King for now since eventually some bureaucratic problem...
@NineTails
I actually a see a good reason right there in the chapter. She didn't bring up pit viper at all, yet they went out of their way to bitch about her accusing them of having something to do with it. That alone sounds suspicious and would make me think the apprentice baited her to make it...
@JWChibi
Those people don't know who she is so they can't actually hit anywhere personal. They just say stuff that's hilariously off base from her POV like claiming she's a NEET despite the fact that she should have had enough money for that not to matter.
