@hedgemoney This. He also got to train with and practically get taught by a swordmaster. Started out in an unknown village without any political or external pressures. No one's died yet. I mean calling this hell mode is an insult.
@Silwith I mean it's definitely a bad one but it's also definitely a rip-off.
Just to include something about the chapter besides the obvious... well the plagiarism obvious, wouldn't cutting the log be better than blowing it up? Especially if you training in the sword?
@Terrate It's not to do with his age there. He's basically mimicking the effects of having the thunder skill on him and pretty much overloading his body to fight. Even as a younger him he'd still have to cast restoration after each burst of activity.
@MrMcNasty I think in their case it's just that the feelings and things he can look at and explain rationally fit her condition. A proper education in these things would allow you to diagnose and help lots of different kinds of people but Yokoi really just has sage wisdom where she is concerned...
I like it. Since he has a soft spot for the family he pretty much raised he lets his grandson make the decision. After all his grandson doesn't have that same soft spot and if they don't satisfy him then oh well.
Why is it that with this trope the initial party must always be trash? I mean if the MC was really useless it could be possible to just do it in a more civil way. It would make this trope a bit more palatable.
As per title it's almost impossible for me to get any other setting. When I go into settings it says it's on the last thing i chose, in this case directional, but still it operates as if on always turn forward. If i click off of directional onto something else and then switch back it works...
Should have just let the man reminisce and act like family and not brought in all that clan face stuff.
@kamishiniyari Cringey? lol It's cringey to want to see him kill family even though things worked out.
