This is probably one of the worst ways to make the skill op. Something simple and nice would be better. Like having the breathing skill actually allows you to maintain the perfect breathing for your current actions. So it would speed up your martial training or even your mana training by...
lol, it really hit them that the excuse with both was just because it was between a minor and adult. Basically admitting that if he was younger they would have rushed in and f'ed like rabbits.

This. Even then there is a lot of comedy elements so it doesn't become extremely boring. Also, unlike those other MCs this one can actually keep it up. Other MCs would probably just run into trouble and be dead by now, unless the plot advanced in a super convenient way.
Why not just have a few encounters before jumping straight to lvl 123. I mean how the hell could he have lived so long against something that would power level him to that extent. The cooking skills being so universally op is already a stretch, why pile on.

So really this is just the usual 'the world hurt me' first...
Finally a game-like story that actually takes what would usually be the bad parts to transfer to stories and makes something good of it. Things like skill stun and timing would make sure combat in VR games doesn't feel brainless.
@GurryCurryBurry You only think truck-kun is reasonable because...
@Alemoa I believe there are some areas where tickets are valid throughout a certain time frame but I'm not sure if I'm remembering about amusement parks or something else.
@StaticTransit Yea when authors go too far with a premise without willing to take time for proper setup this is what happens. You can even tell from the 'revenge on humanity' bit, like if humanity as a whole did him something. A sloppy job of a betrayal to 'justify' the MC going on a rampage.
