It's messed up watching Laius suffocate his own sister, but you have to appreciate his thought process. Just like his point a few chapters ago about how Marcille was likely starving, he really shows how Farlyn's human parts don't fit the dragon's body. He makes the same point about form fitting...
Oof, another break, and three weeks at that. That said, Sugimoto beating up a random John, and then solemnly telling Asirpa not to set off the signal after examining the guy's chest has made me laugh harder than I've laughed in a while, so I'll be rereading this chapter for that scene alone...
@Xeredge They'd have wanted him alive to learn what he was up to and who he was working for. The fact that Ocho got away means somebody screwed up, but it may not have been Robby.
@UXLZ I don't think she's telling Iruma that she should keep it secret to protect their friendship. If anything, it sounds like the opposite- on page 12, what she means is, "Do you really think keeping one secret from your friends will destroy your friendship?"
@Tamerlane I agree that Iruma's...
@Tuffin You're right, I forgot about that chapter. That makes more sense. I think that sentence in the chapter was misleading- the main point the leaf was making was that demons lack perseverance or patience, rather than anything about them not following their desires.
That Nafra twist was unexpected, and I'm glad that he wasn't just another student who gave up his points to Iruma for no reason.
If anyone else forgot when cherry blossoms appeared before, like I did, they were in chapter 9, when Iruma used magic to make them grow. They don't grow in the demon...
To be fair to Hiroki and his mom, I think asking a high school student to make a decision that supposedly affects the rest of their lives is unreasonable in the first place. If you had asked me back in high school to choose between STEM and humanities, I'd have probably picked humanities, even...
The ending felt a little abrupt. I was expecting a final confrontation with Orobas- even if they can't fight directly, there are other ways they can compete. As it stands, it feels his character arc just ended because the arc is over. They could learn that he was being controlled by that shady...
@otaku97 I'm not sure if that's Ali exactly, but it's also the Demon King. Back in chapter 93, Sullivan has a flashback that shows him. It looks more to me like the legendary leaf has some remnant of the Demon King hidden within, so the leaf looking like a joke is just a prank played by the king.
I'm a little miffed that Asmodeus ended up throwing his chance to win, even after that chapter where he said he trusted Iruma and wouldn't just rush to his side. That side, it definitely fits his character, since the safe word that snaps him out of his wicked phase is "Iruma", along with his...
I didn't realize that Iruma was expending an arrow every time he made a bow. I assumed they'd be reusable. Does he have to go back to the king of the valley if he wants refills?
On page 9, I was afraid Yan was going to fall off the wagon. It looks like he's just trying to keep the staff from depending on him, so hopefully that's not the case.
I think the ending was satisfying in that the way everybody acted is based on things we already know. Yuuki is bitter at the third wolf, jaded by having to kill so many people, and short-tempered, so we can at least imagine her throwing the game. My biggest regret with this series is that we...
@Njin
I was wondering about that too. I made up an explanation, so this is really just headcanon, but maybe if you call Teiai with weak information, they'll just jot it down and tell you that if you want a reward, you'll need more proof, like seeing their faces. Then if you start claiming to...
Oh yeah, now this is what I've been looking forward to: Yan Dawei's Kitchen Nightmares. I'm guessing that the changes he's talking about have to do with them insisting on being a high-scale expensive place in an area with a lot of cheaper, more casual restaurants. Like he'll say, "If you want to...
