My guess is the black sphere is something their hero made to summon monsters so he could kill them and be a hero. Olivia stopped him but for whatever reason didn’t destroy the sphere so monsters keep coming

@ziontf that’s what I thought but only because he did something similar to kill the mermaid. I think it would’ve helped if they showed his divinity level going up here. Despite his other traits. He’s certainly not a sex offender. He only kissed the saintess on the cheek

I’m guessing they’ll say that bloodletting is part of the healing process. Maybe as a means of removing poisons in the blood. Or maybe they’ll say it’s to save other patients. Taking blood from one soldier to give to another in case they need it during surgery.
