Thank you so much for the translation of this wonderful work. It is interesting that the author admitted to not planning everything in the beginning, but the themes still managed to fit so well.
@eviljackspicer @josepiza3008 @havelmom
Since the mom here is blond and doesn't look anything like MC's mom in the last chapter, it is safe to assume we are seeing a new character here.
@justforthelulz I know that the original Guild Wars leveled up the monsters if they killed a player. Which was even needed to earn a certain achievment
I don't know how this story will develop, but I simply want to state that I love how the mangaka tries to adress these problems more realistically and explain why simply "killing the bad guy" is not the end goal, but just one step on the road to a better future.
Thanks for the translation work on this manga!
Don't think this are all tragedies by the "farewells" in the description. Not at all, but rather they are short stories with a different perspective and twist each time.
Finally an interesting take on the human/demon love story. The demon was the more human one, although it seems in the end Niwa also did learn some things about love.
Thank you for translating this series. Ergo Proxy was from that special period, where anime went a little outside of japan and created master pieces like Wolfs Rain or Ergo Proxy
Thanks for the translation!
It is always interesting to see what kind of world Kitoh Mohiro created this time. I really would like to read more about this world.
Really nice story and the art is also of a really high quality. Only thing is, I hoped her wish would have been different...
@ghostkun yeah about that... how often is racism against them NOT a part of the story line in X-Men?
@Haydrion101 @randomname
If you mean Spaghetti ice, then yes. That is a thing.
But I don't think that is the case here, since on page 7 and 9 you see some "aroma" lines on the food, which normally indicate a warm meal. So no idea what that should be.
@CursedLight
I'm not saying that the MC...
@ZodiacWitch Oh definietely. I always find it interesting when someone breaks out of the standard mold and tries something different. And the ambiguity of non-verbal storytelling is part of the charm for me. The story was conveyed, but the reasoning of the characters (for each reader) is...
@ZodiacWitch Am I right in presuming you are the author of this work?
If yes, I liked the work and perfectly agree with your afterword.
The non-verbal story telling was a refreshing and well done way. I just didn't fully understand why the Hunter attacked the witch a second time after stopping...
Thank you so much for giving this translation to us. Haibane Renmei is simply a marvellous world and I find it fascinating, how much they thought about the setup of this world.
