@Fuko it definitely is because of the ddos. Seems like they upped the protection this time, since recaptchas were never asked before. There is probably not much anyone can do about it. On the bright side, without the captcha the site might not be usable at all right now because of the attacks.

Google is really wonky on its bot detection. Having an unusual browser (say: not Chrome/FF/IE/Edge or not up to date version) or an unusual OS (say: not Win or Mac) can be a problem. Private browsing as well. @Fuko that extension only works on sites that support it. It does not help you bypass...
