IIRC, it was stated in (at least) the WN that casting magic builds both the attack and the resistance (your own spell doesn't need to damage you). IIRC, in the manga chapter where she was attacked by the Kirecock (the bird) and the Suiten (puffer fish), she killed the wind...

This chapter is "The Nightmare of the Labyrinth" in Volume 3 of the LN. In the WN, the chapter is in 4 parts, and the chapter title is translated as "The Labyrinth's Nightmare" by Turb0 Translation. There was also another chapter before this which was also from a human POV...

In the web novel, the encounter with the humans is chapters 146 "I feel sick" and 147 "So, this is the possibility that a person has". The humans' POV (specifically, the summoner's) is "The labyrinth's nightmare" chapters 1-4.

The previous eating-related skills were translated by YP in the LN as Overeating and Satiation. The skill Kumoko just got was translated as Wrath, though. I agree it should be Anger.
