@chibikei some of these manga are tagged shoujo-ai when the girls are just best friends it sounds plausible to use the shounen ai tag the same way.

@youdontknowwho thanks dude, I can't trust mangadex with the yuri tag especially with the amount of manga that got the tag removed and the ones wrongly tagged.

@chibikei i know that part but there are manga that have the shoujo-ai tag which aren't and if people are gonna be putting shoujo ai tags wrongly shouldn't Hunter x Hunter, Haikyu and manga with close male friends have a shounen ai tag?

@chibikei just asking but is this really yuri/shoujo ai? cause I've seen multiple manga tagged wrong on this site and only mangadex and anilist tag this as yuri.

@Dadangdut33 surprisingly this was one of the best selling manga in it's magazine and probably the best selling manga that started in 2020.

Apparently this is getting an anime, seems like all these anime adaptations recently are manga/light novels which are selling well. I'd guess companies don't wanna go bankrupt experimenting.

@Aster_von_Einzbern i have to agree but at least those manga are doing well in Japan so ratings on mangadex have no effect on sales and anime adaptation chances.

For a harem manga with no anime nor anime adaptation this is selling insanely well, and it only started last year 29 Jan yet it's about to hit the 1mill mark. It's probably gonna hit it though when volume 5 gets released(15-17Jan)

@Vraviel , @raven_freak to be fair most people here are hypocrites if you'd just make the mc female and make this yuri with the exact same plot it would be rated higher probably by 2.30 at most, I've seen this same thing multiple times.

Shoujo Ai? makes sense why it didn't get serialised most shonen jump+ users would rather view ecchi

@Zero13 that's true shosekiranking only show certain numbers on the weekly and monthly charts but it only shows estimates. To be honest Spy x Family will be the best selling manga in it's genre from what I see. Sure if I find the source I'll send it to you or just put it in the comments.

@Zero13 it's better to look at Shosekiranking sales though, and yeah Kaiju no.8 is probably one of the fastest selling manga with just one volume(released on 4th of December) and the volume is always on the top 50 selling 40k+ once volume 2 releases its gonna do even better
