I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of either translation. Asura is clearly inaccurate and rushed as all hell, but SecretScans is wordy af and the dialogue doesn't flow like actual dialogue. I can skim Asura because they speak like actual people, but SecretScans forces me to read each text bubble...

I always feel like Secret Scans is somewhat hard to read? Don't get me wrong, I like them, but SecretScans feels like the dialogue doesn't flow as dialogue should. like "They had failed in the assassination of ..." could easily be reworded to "They failed to assassinate ..." without losing...

how many children does the emperor have? this translation says the girl is the only princess with 9 princes (so total 10), the other one says only princess of 9 children (so total 9)

@kenkagejack I think that's a thing for Chinese novels, they count siblings by birth order for example: biggest bro > second sister > third bro

if this was a Chinese xianxia, everyone would be dead by chapter 3
