they're gonna fight on an arena again?
there aren't too many participating characters, so this shouldn't be a tedious tournament arc like with most shounen manga
of all the places the Dragon Ball jewel would be on, it's on a fighter's championship belt
@FireCamp
How steep is that slippery slope?
It's a common dark theme (as dark as murder), but this one has more in line with a mage-and-their-familiar trope, so you're probably just assuming things.
Slavery also comes hand-in-hand with BDSM literature (from anywhere in the world).
Also, I hope...
@SuperRobotSolo
The point is that it's interesting
Can't say it would be a common thing though as I have no literature to back that up
The boys can be rather pretty too

@AnotherRat
Makes sense. The author probably wouldn't always have to be using the exact spellings of the basis of their names.
"Flare" is probably fine for a name, but "Curega" is a little iffy.
Well, and MAL lists Iblis' name as Eve Reese already, so we could be using the anime spellings...
@Jadian
If we're talking about origin of names, shouldn't Keyaru/Keyaruga be Cure/Curega?

ah, but there is a slight difference ケヤル/ケヤルガ vs ケアル/ケアルガ
@xxxNothingxxx

The metal slime seems to be reminiscent to Dragon Quest metal slimes, which you will usually do only 1...
It's pretty silly that a civilization with a kitchen and potted salt doesn't know how to prepare meat beyond charring it.
Salt was a preservative before it was a condiment. Pots are essential in food preservation.
Food isn't plentiful, so it would make more sense if they ration their meats by...
@ReRead
why learn dick magic if you can make your dick hard with pure simple sexual drive
Rudeus was hit with a trauma and probably the only way things would go right again is if Eris comes back and corrects his misunderstanding
@VF89
tbh, this is fine
get some caricature-level early rivals to serve as foils for the protagonist
every one of those siblings were talented AND arrogant - complete opposite of the protagonist who has hard work and humility
this is probably still just the prologue
sheeet
looks like i was right about magic being used as artillery
walls wouldn't have done anything to stop that barrage unless it was some sort of anti-magic wall
(there was a discussion about "why trenches?" some time ago in an earlier chapter comment section)
