@Rayodino Like Melcyna said, it is historically accurate. The creation of heraldry and all those fancy symbols and colours you see on knights is often attributed to letting everyone know that the bearer is worth a lot of shinies if taken alive, therefore improving the bearer's odds of survival.
@vannn Thanks for the recs.
Frieren: Already reading, love it.
Kuroutan: Already reading, love it even more.
White Blood: Already reading.
Guardian of the Sacred Spirit: Read both mangas already.
STRAVAGANZA: Not a fan of fanservice, so I passed over it before.
Baikoku Kikan: While I enjoy...
@vannn If that female character was the protagonist, sure. I'm tired of reading isekai stories with male protagonists because every author seems to be stuck with the same 3-4 templates and they all blend together.
@vannn
That's basically the reason I'm reading this instead of Isekai Apocalypse, the female protagonist that isn't a damsel in distress. So rare in the industry.
@Ratentaisou The alternative is getting thrown into jail for a few years or executed for lèse-majesté. Getting fired is the best thing that could have happened to him, but he's too dumb to understand.
Honestly, this manga's message would have been more effective if most of the female characters weren't traps. The main couple's marriage proposal was one of the best I've seen in romcom, but this switch to "she's a trap, she's a trap, everyone's a trap" ruins it for me.
@cryum What I understood from their talk was that barter exchange only needs consent if it's with another human, which brings up 2 more questions:
How did she dupe someone into dying in her stead?
What can be considered a human? Do beastfolk count? Do elves, dwarves and demons count? Does...
@Amino Didn't even remember he got isekai'd with a female body at first. 4.2 has him talking about how he can change his avatar freely, so gender must not be hard-coded.
@pandacard I know the manga, never understood the point of writing softcore hentai and then making the horny, pro-slavery MC a complete pansy that
Kind of like Issei from High School DxD, all that boasting of becoming the harem king but too scared to actually do anything with the dozen+...
Page 29, Hold the F up. How is he still a virgin if he has 3 horny maids who he frequently cons into being naked in his presence, as well as several other willing girls?
Putting their introduction in chapter 18 was completely pointless, I guess the author had to boost his reader numbers by throwing some fanservice earlier.
Here's hoping those bandits get executed when/if the guards come. There's absolutely no reason to ever let murderers and rapists live and the MC is a moron for thinking otherwise.
