A little detail somewhat hard to make out, but on page 11 Angel was actually tearing up as he was apologizing to the dead woman after not taking her hand. Despite saying how he believes humans should suffer as they die, it seems there's more to his story and about his view on life.
100 Chapters into this series, I first came expecting to read a typical action shounen and in the end, ended up with an amazing action political thriller.
Aaaaagh! I want to keep hoping for a good ending for everyone, but I can only see this heading to tragedy. The only people that are probably gonna be "ok" are the MC Trio while Leslie is gonna get taken prisoner for being connected to Great Earth.
@Sturdy I'm not smart enough to go too deep in literary analyzation, but the gist of it is that everybody in this goddamn town is using each other for some sort of fulfillment or coping mechanism. The teacher is throwing herself unto Reiji 'cause he is something new/exciting from her agonizing...
