@dangankou oh, now I see it. The differences are so subtle but yeah the Buu dying close-up and the extra Vegeta panels were not available pre-Kanzenban. Seeing the images you shared does jog my memory better.

@Damoon Idk, the wording makes it sounds like the supposed extra pages were exclusive to the Kanzenban release, not the original tankobon release. I'm pretty sure I read the tankobon release years ago (and I'm sure the final volume was 42 too).

Which pages were added? I had the final volume and read it multiple times in the past (like 20 years ago) but as far as I can tell, everything looks the same.

@MoonlightFairy I kinda get what you mean. I like Kayo (and most of the characters in the series) but I always feel like her character gets too much focus sometimes. Maybe it's all part of a more serious development later, so maybe it'll only get better after this.
