Personally, I think they went more than far enough, and they were both into it, so the narratively significant part of doing the deed was still accomplished. It still sucks that they got interrupted, but it's not as frustrating as if it were done to prevent the question of "will they do it?"...

@Raygunsama I can't speak for other manga, but at least with this one, the main pair being rather immature is pretty central to their characterization.

Not really thrilled by the interrupted confession - just don't even start it if you're not ready to cross that bridge narratively. Still, it was otherwise a great chapter.
