@kodakato I doubt most of them would even consider taking the request, though. Almost every adventurer would either consider him a comrade, or be too scared to even try. At most, they'd pretend to follow him to either slow down the soldiers, or warn/join him.

@GrimGriefer I'd guess either that was supposed to be the guild guy's dialogue, or there's a slight mistranslation. Honestly, something like "He's probably thinking about the guarding job" is quite possible, as a lot of Japanese leaves the subject to context, and a lot of translators default to "I".

@Glowworm I've been told that new uploaders need their first few chapters to be manually approved by moderators. My guess is that when it's uploaded, it shows up in the 'recent updated' list, since it technically was, but it's hidden/filtered out from the chapter list of the manga until approved.

After reading the first chapter, I get the feeling that the comedy would work better if the MC was female, as the contrast between the character's innocent demeanor and their magic would be more pronounced. Just feels a bit like a missed opportunity.

Pages 12 and 13 are probably the best version of the "gamer mentality vs realism" trope from any isekai I've read, and it's not needlessly long or over done. Seriously, this manga gets better with each chapter. Also, that talk between the king and royal magician seems purposefully rehearsed...
