@Xystus I can say from deep personal experience that social anxiety is not always at one constant level. Some days are better than others. It's not a certainty that someone is going to choose avoidance every single time.
For those that know, does the novel progress any further than this? If there's any more story beyond what the manga presented, I'd greatly appreciate a summary.
Some pages of this translation were pretty straightforward, but others felt really unclear. Altogether, I'm only confident that I understood maybe 2/3 of the chapter.
If we were to assume that this story is anywhere close to concluding, I would expect this time with just Nagi and Hiro to mark the end of the Hiro route. Not that the route end isn't all but assured, because it is, but I think it's still too soon for that.
@R-Mod Right, that's what I mean. That he's acknowledging that it's literally a story and so it follows the rules of one. Their world used to be the actual world with actual people, but then it became a manga story that follows the rules of a manga story.
When he refers to the nature of their story, is he actually acknowledging that nothing the supporting characters do matters to the outcome because they're not the protagonist?
And in a few months the whole building collapsed because Haruka doesn't actually understand architectural engineering and didn't realize that the foundation and the soil under it need to be able to support the weight of such a heavy structure.
I originally hoped he wouldn't get involved with Carol, as the isekai slave harem trope has been done to death, but it's been obvious for several chapters that things were headed in that direction. Oh well.
Even if we assume the most likely point about Sousuke, that he's the one that's engaged to Hiro, it still doesn't begin to explain why he's absent or what Daddy Mind Games is trying to accomplish with all of this.
