that was a super cute ending. 😅
with this chapter, i'm finally caught up with the matogrosso release. i think this chapter was published on valentine's day (or single's day for people like me), and given that the chapter before that was published mid-december, we can expect the next chapter...
@Nojay any plans on working with @Donna/EiShun (or are you already working with them)? Really hate to see work get duplicated, like some other manga I know (*cough* Juliet *cough*).
@Arlo If you have a phone (or at least an Android) there're some handwriting inputs you can use. I personally use...
@pip25 Regarding Sensei - I do hear a lot of negative things about Japanese work culture, especially with respect to staying late and time spent in the the office vs. time actually spent doing work. I'm also not sure if teachers are subject to that same standard, or if it only applies to office...
it's finally getting picked up! i think...
honestly the art's too beautiful to not pick it up.
edit: her smile when she cheers back up is soo precious. she's like an even cuter version of Akko from LWA.
Totally get you with the "say what needs to be said" part. I always feel like I'm doing something wrong scanlation-wise, but nobody tells me (at least, not often). And you'd think it'd be nice to not have people talking shit, but it leaves me feeling unsure about whether or not I'm doing it...
Thanks for scanlating this - Senpai reminds me of Akko-chan... except more responsible.
That said, I was wondering about the panel where her brother goes
which is translated in the scan as
I ask in order to calibrate my own translation, but I swear the line translates as
@artikandri Never been to Japan either, so I can't really say. Also, it's not like they ever talk about it during the culture festival arcs in anime/manga either. Maybe I messed up and 検便 doesn't mean stool test?
But @thrrnvwls did mention having to do something similar, so there seems to be...
@pip25 that does sound much better. Now what I'm really confused by is what 呼べば聞こえ means versus just 呼べば (or 呼べると/んだら?) which I feel would've gotten the same point across.
Admittedly I'm better at interpreting than I am at writing Japanese.
edit: I just realized how to parse the sentence...
@suchtla @GipoScribantino @pip25 thanks for the feedback!
@pip25 How I understood Sensei's monologue is that Amai is pretty dismissive of people in general, and usually does so without getting to try to know them too much. If she were to express herself, her tactlessness (i.e. 下手すると) would...
@Purplelibraryguy shoot, you're right. Now it'd be cuter if she were in love with the Demon Lord (obvi the Demon Lord is in love with her).
Maybe it's a mix between the princess in Maou-jou and the the zealousness of the maid from Duke of Death/死神坊ちゃん (though I'm probably making that...
@eviljackspicer @Sakai (and @ everyone else) thanks y'all. Unfortunately Amazon says there's something wrong with my shipment, which I take to mean "lol don't order the day before dumbass".
@eviljackspicer Not to sound desperate, but I was half-expecting you to respond to the thing with the...
Hey all - today's (tonight's) chapter is 測定/Measurements.
I wanna start off with this: there's a thought bubble that I couldn't for the life of me understand on page 13 (the page that's only thought bubbles). The way translation usually goes, I get the gist of the sentence, then spend a good...
Thanks y'all - I guess I didn't actually slow down as much this time around, mostly cause I think I'd be letting myself down if I did. That's self-motivation for you.
@ErikMm I was wracking my head over it before finally deciding it was there because the food poisoning thing was there. That or...
This week's chapter is 準備/Preparation. It's the beginning of a long cultural fair arc which apparently isn't over yet. The latest chapter, which is still すれ違い, still deals with the culture festival, and that's six chapters from here.
Disclosure: The next chapter might come out a bit later (like...
@eviljackspicer Thanks for reading (though really we all should be thanking Nakatoka-sensei themselves.... )
@ojoudere I honestly probably seem like that to people I meet too (the whole dull and sarcastic and not knowing what I'm thinking line resonate with me, and I'm not too well dressed...
As cute as this is, I didn't like what Amai did there calling him a gambling-addicted alcoholic (quote: 噂だとギャンブル中毒のアル中らしいわ). Hmm...
By the way, this comes from the Matogrosso website here (it got overwritten by the newest chapter, not sure if that was intentional on their part), so if you can't...
@Gustbk There're new chapters being published on the matogrosso site rn (it's under the "raw" link in the main page) as well as on nakatoka-sensei's Pixiv (though those are pre-edit). I assume these will be in the next volume, not necessarily in the given order.
