@Jaegrqualm yup - I had those same concerns regarding the screentones when I waifu2x-d these - it does well with maintaining lines, but not so much screentones (esp. small line patterns). haven't looked into which of the models does best either (and I don't know if I want to try training one...
@Jaegrqualm lol I was wondering if someone'd complain. strangely enough the last chapter was done using the chapter published on matogrosso too... so I'm guessing that was eye-gougingly bad too?
edit: Also for whatever reason the next chapter's link is messed up, so the next chapter might come...
hmmm... interesting. 2.4 isn't the best of rules, but I was hoping all of katsuwo-sensei's stuff would make it on here. too lazy to go off mangadex to read my stuff too. ?
Thanks y'all. Also it's kinda funny how it was spelled correctly (Sekai) and then it somehow morphed into (Sakai). It's like we're playing telephone with a megaphone and still managing to lose.
@Cavefishes damn, didn't edit my comment fast enough. ?
@Shymra haha, thanks. tbh, I was only scanning hella fast cause I had the time to do so over my winter holidays, but I'm kinda surprised I'm still keeping it up now that I'm back at work. don't worry though, I look forward to scanning this...
@LysandersTreason Don't get me wrong, I like Hinamatsuri too (specifically
Anzu and Mishima), but something about middle schoolers without telekinetic powers being assholes to each other somehow does it for me over middle schoolers with powers.
I guess I can understand that... (I mean, I myself probably have to re-typeset half the chapters I've done so far since I changed dialogue fonts halfway through).
Though given how they look I think they're fine as they are. At least it'd stop people asking where the chapters are?
@Hounder Oh, weird. I don't think I ever saw that icon. I swear I changed the "end chapter" entry on the manga to blank, though I'm not sure if that was the correct way to indicate it hasn't ended yet...
@ArpanaR Specifically, the chapters are being published/serialized on the Matogrosso site. I'll be translating the next chapter soon - for transparency's sake, the next one is 隠ぺい/hidden (as in the title means hidden, not that the chapter is hidden). So nothing's stopping anyone from eating...
@Yautja Hold on now - if you're going to complain about bad advice, at least quote it correctly (though you're quoting a translation, so I guess it's already incorrect):
Almost thought I had a typo in there.
P.S. I think there's one on one of these pages, but nobody's pointed it out, so...
BTW, it actually looks like there's a third volume in the works. The author afterword for the second volume says
i.e. she'll try her hardest to get the next volume out faster.
Looks like there are newer chapters, with the latest one すれ違い having been posted in December. Which means I've still...
@pip25 Unfortunately the way the two remaining chapters are going there won't be any more diving into that. There is a lot to dig into, like what Sensei was like in his high school days or why Amai likes older men so much. But Nakatoka-sensei's already made the choice to not do that, so we'll...
Just gonna put this out there - the "lick me" speech bubble just says ペロリンチョ, which I understand is supposed to be some onomatopoeia to describe licking something. I'm not sure what in particular was gonna be licked, so I chose Amai. Though maybe she was talking about living the trash? (Or maybe...
@freakofnature I originally had it as perennial before (i.e. I has Sensei say "that's a perennial"), actually, but I didn't see any any breeds identified as "perennial", at least in English, so I let it be given that I left the other names as transliterations. I'll add in another translation...
@pip25 Thanks, dude/tte.
@freakofnature I see, I see - that'd make you my senpai in a way. Also the QA-I-don't-actually-have in a way. I appreciate your feedback.?
@freakofnature Thanks for breaking it down. I should've added (or will add) translation notes for the yaguruma at least, since the name describes its color.
Honestly, though, there's enough in this chapter for a few pages of afterword, but this isn't a horticulture/literature/mythology class...
