Confusing chapter. Hard to tell how much of that is due to the original writing and speech bubble placement and how much is due to the TL and typesetting :(

The explanation makes no sense, are y'all sure you didn't accidentally switch up 'capacity' and 'potential' in one or more of the sentences? It seems like it could make sense if they were switched around in some of these word bubbles but not all of them.

Not sure I get that. He's kind of mean to Ryuugasaki but he's nice to everyone else, and Ryuugasaki is kind of an insufferable, dishonest narcissist. In ch3 Ryuu calls him ugly completely unprompted! He still joins the club to help him out regardless.
