@gouder It's a verbal pun. The word for "Mock" and "Lick" in Japanese are homophones. "Name". The main character's name is Saya Namekawa.
So the author randomly decided to mess around with a series entirely based off of a verbal pun, and then all this happened.
Unrelated, why did Namekawa...
Tojo has a cold? Did her Committee President Power run out? Oh the humanity!
Poor Namekawa; with the apex predator removed, the eco-system is outta whack. Here's hoping the Prez gets well soon to continue her reign of terror.
@Kaisermutt Just giving credit where it's due!
@Krune She'd change the name of the position to "Committee President Minister", and all satellite imagery, street cameras, and secret service operatives would be given the simple task of monitoring Namekawa's location and documenting her wardrobe...
@henman Frankly, your profile pic is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
@Krune Y'all make a good point. I was wrong to interpret her as a monster; she's clearly a daring maverick who should be celebrated for her courage and forward-thinking.
Dude, for someone who just started out with scanlations, you're doing a splendid job.
I hope you continue, because this series is always funny to read. Depraved, yes, but funny. :]
Thanks!
Unrelated, is the chairman a human being? They talk about Tojo like she's a dangerous cryptid, or some...
Butts are just suddenly on panel sometimes with no relevance whatsoever. When a character is talking, you just see their butt with no context.
That's pretty avant-garde if you ask me.
I love Yatsude's fascination with Kei and Rei.
I also love that soon Rei will emerge from the sea to terrorize Tsubaki, like Godzilla chancing upon a defenseless island nation.
I never knew Yatsude was a pervert, but now I know why Kei was so hesitant to sit on her lap.
It's like she's a reincarnation of Brock from Pokemon. Butts soothe her fiery temper.
Aw. They finally made friends.
I'm kinda ready for more Rei and Kei misery at this point, but I don't particularly mind these digressions into the lives of their peers as well.
Edit: I love how the characters never have anything nice to say about each-other's appearance, even when they're...
@mycropen Y'know, when you put it that way, it sorta gives me a newfound appreciation for the chapter. I'm gonna have to go back and re-read the chapters with them to see if my perspective was just off.
Thanks!
I'm not sure I get this one. I'm not calling it a bad chapter, but Tsubaki and her new delinquent pals never really resonate with me, and I feel like I'm missing something.
Guess I'm lacking in culture.
@Tezcatlipoca How come you don't just skip it?
Granted, I'm lazy enough that my knee-jerk reaction is to find a way to skip any social event, but it seems like you could easily just dodge stuff like that. Lol.
