Okay, so since it appears as though some people are confused as to what the "Merciless" skill does and why Rimuru in particular got it, here's an explanation:
The "Merciless" unique skill isn't one that can just be acquired like that by just being merciless. It also doesn't require the holder to...
@TrueGoddessReincarnation The "Merciless" skill isn't one that can just be acquired like that by just being merciless.
All skills have lots of conditions to acquire them normally, and unique skills are most of the time actually unique. It's possible for there having been another "Merciless"...
@nono177013 This manga chapter is within Light Novel volume 5 chapter.
You should go check the light novel version rather than the web novel one. From this point onward there are quite a lot of differences, and the LN version is better.
For info on how to find the PDFs of the novels online...
@maisonaustyn Based on some of the afterwords by the mangaka and author that are at the end of the manga volumes (as well as based on the author writing a Veldora's Slime Observation Journal novel-like segments at the end of each manga volume), it does seem as though the author is involved with...
@ScrotalLingerie Readjust*
But I agree that it would've been better to just put the full word in the line bellow instead of separating it with a "-" at a confusing place.
@maisonaustyn In the previous chapter, the only different from the LN was that Rimuru arrived at the Army camp instead of when they were marching. However, the main difference is more so that the novel has a day pass by between the moment Razen (in Shogo's body) rejoins the place where the king...

@blueraine21 @mrcat25 Why read the web novel when the light novel translation is already beyond this point? Believe me, the light novel version is quite different and much better. I liked this arc (and the next two arcs) a lot in the web novel, but they are much better in the light novel...
@Leo80221 Megiddo was described like this in the light novel. Here's a quote from the light novel:
"Dancing, swirling rays of light rained down from the heavens, repeatedly reflecting and refracting near the ground and plunging through the knights before they could react.
There would be no...
@Drailis Dude, that's a spoiler. Edit your comment to hide it as a spoiler. (Highlight the sentence and then click on the eye icon(with a \ in it) that's at the top of the text box.)
@BlurEyes Indeed, and I believe that Tanya's traces being hidden in the future are her doing. Being X can't send countries after her if she no longer officially exist.
I love how Visha is depicted with her trusty shovel even on page 18 in the panel showing the lieutenants of the original 203rd Wind training the recruits.
