@comeonnow i feel like the pre-transportation MC's mum has something to do with it, she seemed to treat MC gently and prepared the snack that contained the gem for her. Plus in chapter 1 we seem to get a close up shot of the mom with the gem in her hands haha... I might be jumping the gun...
