candidate for worst villainess' father of the year. he comes to the conclusion that the palace must be a painful place for her, and then dictates for her to suffer there for 1 more year.
BIG FAT MIDDLE FINGER.
'If i let her leave this palace with only memories of being abandoned, I will...
the father bowing his head like that and handing off his daughter to some prince he barely knows, saying 'she could be of use to you.' a little cruel, that's your (supposedly) brilliant daughter. at least have some pride or something.
can she even hear what she's saying? the emperor asked her one thing and she spilled like 20 cups of tea and calling abuse while dressed up to the nines 😂
honestly i don't care what kind of tragic mumbo jumbo the author comes up with, I'll never forgive her father.
he wasn't much of a father to begin with anyway, he emotionally neglected her from birth till death.
I'm so glad Aira wasn't evil or anything. Now she's off the dumbass prince's clutches, she can finally grow, explore this world and make actual friends.
it's actually better for her to leave the duchy. she can restart her life without attachments and tons of money. perhaps under a new name. if she stays in the duchy people will recognize her as someone who tried to assist in an assassination, etc. her child will carry that stigma too.
