Changing up the way I typeset a little, and the fonts I use. Thinking about it thematically, CCWIldWords is a good font, but doesn't really fit this 4koma all too well, so I've put it aside and now only use block type characters for inner thoughts, while everything else has has a lower-case font...
@Kurama-senpai Hahaha, the original text is just as vague and ambiguous.
It says "Nacchan, remember that time when...", and then the reader isn't told what happens next 😉
Thanks to @Codecy for helping out with that mumbled dialogue on page 3, it legit looked like a doctor's handwriting, so I had to make it look just as awful so that all of you suffer too.
@R71 @KyoPa
The dialogue for that panel is "寝取り教師!!" Which when written means "Netori" and "Kyoushi".
"Netori" when translated means "to cuckold", and "kyoushi" is a synonym for "sensei", so it means "teacher".
Yes, the translation was right. The only thing in this manga I go out of my way to...
@Soluna From what I can tell a few chapters after this one, it DID happen, and she's just recounting what happened, while the teaching is admonishing for the generalization.
@Rime_Rimu I'm updating the doc as I go along, finished chapter 2 while the MD servers were down. Feel free to bookmark the google doc or whatever, I don't intend on making a wordpress, but if anyone wants to host it on their site I can just give them the chapters as I go along.
@IShallReadTheHeavens
It finished at chapter 68, that's the end of the story. AFAIK there's no hiatus, but the story is nice.
I couldn't find a translation for the web novel, but I have been thinking about translating the novel myself.
If anyone wants to read it, I put it on a google doc. It's...
@RadioForrest
Her name, from what I've found on this page https://www.anime-planet.com/manga/the-worlds-least-interesting-master-swordsman-light-novel/characters actually lists her name as "Blois", and I'm just using the last group's name. I've never liked reading different names/terminologies...
@Syavoir @Kalamel
Janky to read, janky to translate. This is probably the first chapter of any manga I've ever read to make me this frustrated over whether the original meaning is even worth keeping because it's so fucking stupid to read.
I had to completely re-do the sentence...
Mixing it up with the canvas size again,
Last time I tried doing this, I was using GIMP. Didn't go so well.
I learned recently of a trick to upscale and sharpen images, which keeps most of the original quality (albeit at a slight drop, but it's usually not noticeable).
Larger pages; Yea or Nay...
@Hollow7F
Yes, but not on a consistent schedule if I'm the one who has to typeset it. It'd be infrequent or based entirely on surges of energy, like today's was.
I'm extremely whimsical when it comes to schedules, so slotting the time to typeset and redraw this in in non-existent for most days...
I figured out a bunch of stuff with photoshop and getting raws, so the image quality will have gone up dramatically since the first one I did.
If you notice any mistakes, make sure to mention me, be it grammatical, visual or potentially a translation error.
@Ncararc
Silzar's name was in Katakana, read as "シルザル". My initial thoughts on the same was something along the lines of Caesar, but I couldn't really find any correlation.
No idea if his name meant anything. I went over a bunch of meanings of "Shi" "ru" "zaru" in different combination and the...
