well, the scene was also cut short a bit but still satisfying. :3 i liked the wording "since you lost your precious partner" more from the novel translation i read, since yaegashi had to give up on kaori, but guess "artifact" might have been the correct translation here.

it was just about time for the MC to receive some more defensive power, so this S Class Adventurer would fill in the role nicely. All his monsters are more about attack power than anything, which showed in their previous encounters, so this old man would fit in nicely.
