i like funa's series but this is the one out of the three with probably the worst writing at least it's still entertaining. It's kind of a ridiculous stretch when you start bring in sword shaped potions bottles.

almost every popular LN that's come out has had an active fan translation scene. Overlord is a great series but the active fan translation is what made it stand out from the hundreds of other series. The author can be pissed all he wants but your newest work isn't available in english for people...

the anime wasn't based off any source material, so there's no reason to say it's the canon especially if there's ever more mangas coming out. The anime also had a ton of god awful transitions and pacing.

@Trexxe you kinda miss the point then the manga's a satire of the typical shounen fight become stronger repeat formula. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously that's what's so great about it. While everyone's struggling to survive, we have a superman who goes and beats everything up while people...
