@kalton This youtube series of "a day in the life of..." for Japanese workers is an interesting watch. It's obviously not 100% accurate as the company being represented wants to be shown in the best light, but it's still a fairly candid look at a daily workday in Japan.
Imagine you're penbi. You have one interaction with another guy and suddenly your bf calls you wanting an explanation. I'd be annoyed to at that point too lol
At first it seemed like a parody on the inhuman sizes that anime/manga portray, but now it just seems like a cheap gag in an otherwise amazing series...
@nano6 The Japanese words for livestream: 配信 is pronounced Haishin and Dentist (歯医者) is pronounced Haisha.
There are a few other words for livestream ofc, but it's my guess this is where the joke comes from.
