Kindaichi tend to make people want to discount him so maybe the detective thinks Kindaichi is just an amateur busybody?

The best lines in this manga are the side comments. XD

I'm surprised by the disappointed comments because I thought the author made very clear from the beginning that only those who fight dirty wins. Right up until the end, the characters all had a choice to walk away, but the ones who still vied for vengeance end up with a "Sword of Damocles"...

Honestly, Yukinobu-sensei could have just left this hanging and I would not even mind waiting years for him to revisit this series again since I enjoy the episodic nature of it, but this hard-nosed ending is so final!
