Disregarding his actual background, killing someone who wants to kill you is fair game. Calling him a psychopath just for having strong survival instincts is kinda ignorant.
I don't like this premise. Arifureta and Shield Hero worked because they did nothing wrong. I was fine with the island banishment, but the fact that you can't pay one silver coin in three years with the pipe dream of being the strongest, all while collecting herbs is just fucking embarrassing.
If I ever become a billionaire the first thing I'm doing is putting good mangaka on my payroll. This has great potential, and the art is nice. Is it similar to Overlord? Yeah, it is. But if they can coexist, I see no issue.
