I still don't understand why arrogance is so prevalent as a form of insult in these type of stories. Nor do i understand how people are seen as arrogant in the first place. Is there some lost meaning in what a person says that's lost in translation, or am i just slightly stupid in regard to this?

That guy said not to be worried and that the maze was easy but then says to take it seriously because of the mc's attitude? Make up your mind man, sheesh. Also when the mc punched through the maze i was more worried about the people who went inside already than the damages made.
