I guess in his time the extant religions with emphasis on messianic figures would be Zoroastrianism and Judaism? But the author could always just say he follows a philosopher or prophet who only had followers in their own time. Probably a Zoroastrian since he keeps talking about demons though.

I appreciate the splash page of Iruma's doubts. Little stuff like that always makes Iruma characters come off as a little more human compared to most shounen adventure type stuff.
