jesus, I commented this last time but this father sounds more and more like my own. For anyone who thinks the father is unrealistic think again, this is what a narcissist is like to the people inside their family and this story hits the nail on the head in that aspect.

@kimikuman12 Both her selfishness and her obsession with books become so much more bearable later in the story, so if you generally like it besides those flaws I recommend you bear through it for a while to get to the good parts.

The drama going on here should follow the rule "Any claim made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence." As long as neither side provides evidence I think it is best to presume innocence without completely dismissing the claims made in this chapter.
