@xkcdhawk I reached the same conclusion as you, but reading your comment gave me a hint. I was confused as to why Souichi would be drooling like that after going inside, and I think he might have "turned off" his brain/memories/consciousness or whatever. Since he has to throw this round anyway...
Goodbye Hachina/Hal. Hello Souichi.
I think I see the path to victory. Either Baku communicated with Souichi via those mnemonics he was writing on the table by using the sound/vibrations (very unlikely), or Souichi and Baku are so in sync that he realizes that because Baku's hands have lower...
Ah, so that was it. Lalo bet 2 to bait Usogui into not folding. He probably surmised that that was how the Calamity happened, like us. I'm disappointed Baku didn't catch that but it can't be helped considering the situation and the plot.
@xkcdhawk That's why I said "the only thing". I think he did break that but that circular thing looks a bit weird to me. It probably is just that but it just looks weird to me.
@AggravatingHighway
Also, I'm not sold on the glass indicator being the only thing Baku broke in the first round, the shape of the object that floated up looked nothing like glass, and I can't seem to find any object resembling it in this match, but I'm probably just blind. If he did mess with...
Hope everyone is safe and am immensely glad that we have Usogui again! How long will this batch be? Also, when will the next Batuque batch be? Since you said that you'd continue with Batuque before Usogui continued. Thanks for your work as always!
@Veshv I think that's also possible, but eventually he will have to act as Leader as well, and depending on where he draws the line he might try to sabotage Baku's chances of attempting Surpassing the Leader. Also, we don't know how the inevitable revelation of his and Baku's past will affect...
GAKUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This is a mega galaxy brain moment from Hachina here. Now if Daiba accepts Hachina's condition (which he has no choice but to accept) he'll be able to remove all chances Lalo had of winning this via comeback, and if Arata's vest ends up being one of the Kings, Baku...
@belkrax This. Baku has always been an extremely reckless thrillseeker, especially in the face of imminent death, but I had kind of let it slip from my mind a bit and this chapter just made sure I won't forget that again, lol. He is truly insane, surprised he didn't get a nosebleed.
As soon as I sow the diamond box I knew Lalo was gonna go apeshit, did not expect that back and forth from him and Lalo though, I almost bought Arata having the upper hand.
