I'm re-reading this manga and I have to say @Konrad2 is the unsung hero of this series. Everytime I go to the comments I can count that "Thanks for the translation" will be there, standing strong. I love it!
And so comes this fated encounter. In the words of the joker this is what happens when an immovable object faces an unstoppable force, and it's beautiful. To me this two characters have the best chemistry together
This felt like such a meta moment for me. I feel the tension came more from me knowing this usually ends with a misunderstanding. The author knew how romance tropes go in rom-com manga and used that to deliver this "twist" as a wholesome moment. That's just how i felt while reading it.
"true, we might be just friends! But eventually I intend to cross the line, escape the friendzone and begin dating her" all that before saying her name. Now THAT'S an introduction!
I feel the first 20 chapters are so solid that i don't mind it being a bit more cliched after that (currently chapter 39). The dialogue is really great, far better that other romance manga, and it feels real most of the time which is hard to achieve.
I mean... this is so freaking real. I dont care if her actions are right or wrong, or matters of morality, this is literally how people behaved at my school. I really like her despite thing i would do different or i think are not cool from her. Usually stories rely on communicayion issues or...
@calmbreez i had the same concern (specially because i read Berserk) but it seems you got here just in time because it's finally ending. Unless the author gives us a real curve shot.
No matter what this is a good chapter. Even without context of the rest of the manga, before or after. The meta-narrative (like we all know how school life romcom is supposed to work) is really good and the way the author made the character fall into the realization is also really good.
