I'm amazed at the author's capacity to change mood and tone. Almost all chapters have a shift from drama to comedy, dark humor to emotional. It's not always smooth, but I love the style.
Also, for an omake this seems like a really big plot point.

So, why reveal all that in the first chapter? Hook us with her cuteness and their relationship, hint at the reveal of the past of the knight and that the hero is "missing" THEN make the reveal.
@sumfahg I love the reason you gave for the tears of Aura. This is cannon in my mind no matter what. It's like deceiving is part of a demon's nature, like an impulse or a reflex.
Having a group of friends really helped with Himeno's personality. She is really different compared to the first chapters. I think the author did that very well.
So I haven't watched this manga in a while, but I have to give it to the author: that's a great ass design in the cover. I don't think I've ever seen a better drawn ass in a manga.

I can't let go of the fact that those three mouths (p. 16) have different teeth (sharp, flat, no teeth). I feel that may be a reference for something in japanese folklore or something like that. I don't know, just feel like it is. But it might be just a detail the author put to give the illusion...

I think the temple is not a spirit, it's a place in another dimension. To me that's not a problem because it relates with japanese folklore and mythology. It seems they went to a different dimension and Hana doesn't know it. It's like fey rules: you don't go there on purpose, you wander...
