I'm not surprised that there are or were more people from Earth who were transported to this world.
I suspect that some of the Heroes' Party are Earth humans who don't speak Japanese. Has Ren even met all of the members of the Heroes' Party or has he only met that one girl who fell into the...
@Kaarme Thanks.
Minami-ke is one of those series with a sprawling supporting cast (and one with the supporting cast split into subgroups by school level and, apparently, also sub-subgroups by year) where I remember the faces (well, faces and hairdos since a lot of characters have pretty...
I generally think of Akane as a toned-down version of Urd from Ah My Goddess! anyway (mischevous, tanned older sister) but now Akane can do Urd's most famous ability, body multiplication (except Urd's copies don't melt like wax when touched, though they do start to get deformed if Urd makes too...
Chiaki seems to be able to jump very high when she wants to, as evidenced by the last page.
Atsuko is in the category of "which character is that again?" for me. When it comes to Haruka's classmates, I remember Hosaka and Hayami plus Natsuki from the other Minami family and that's basically it...
I remember Nobue's blonde hair* but I forgot that Miu was a bit different in the first chapter, a little less mischevous and lacking her lighter hair and ponytails (not counting the prologue which was obviously drawn later on). And Chika has glasses and no top knot.
* I have the Tokyopop...
I know Hanaharu Naruko because he also drew the manga adaptation of Kamichu! (and I believe he drew some of the original character concepts for the anime even though Takahiro Chiba is the credited anime character designer).
What's the difference between Lron (when drawn by Barasui) and Ana Coppola from Ichigo Mashimaro, really?
I think Barasui perhaps draws Ana's eyebrows a little thicker than Lron's eyebrows but I'm grasping at straws.
Beta Nobue is different from Serialization Nobue. Serialization Nobue keeps the air conditioning on all of the time in summer.
I'm glad that Barasui didn't keep the older brother character. Non Non Biyori does the "buttmonkey" older brother gag much better anyway with a brother whose presence...
@StevenPi What, do you mean "cute slice-of-life manga with some kind of supernatural girlfriend changes tone drastically when the author introduces a lot more characters and starts taking the deeper lore more seriously"?
The same sort of thing happened with Ah My Goddess! but that tonal shift...
@darkgate72 Considering that Shiroiharu was a bust, I don't see Nico Tanigawa ending WataMote anytime soon, even if the manga ends at graduation. Considering they just stretched summer break alone for a whole year's worth of chapters, they'll just continue to draw the third year out as long as...
I remember this exact chapter being translated before since it's pretty much the only chapter where Vignette gets "punished" by Raphiel along with Satanichia (with the caveat that Vigne was only doing what Raph told her to do in the first place), but I guess it must have been hosted elsewhere.
So we finally have an answer to how Toki can possibly be from the future if Fumi keeps on destroying the present. It's a metaphysics babble kind of answer but still an answer.
I generally just assumed that the destruction was massive but nowhere near complete and the atmosphere returned to...
At least this version actually shows Konomi smooching life energy from humans. In the original, while you can generally assume Konomi was doing this off-panel, it was still ambiguous whether she found a source of energy or was just depleting her reserves.
I think the biggest problem with the original was that Konomi got sidelined towards the end as though the author didn't know what to do with her anymore once Fuu-chan became more aggressive in her approach towards Yukiko.
