Baku starting off by dying for a minute already. He's at such a huge disadvantage during this match, damn.
I hope they start talking to each other in later rounds, or else this will feel a bit too much like the Brazen Bull.
Also, Fukurou getting past the "no observation" rule by just listening...
For all the intrigue about the Near-Death, I honestly can't imagine Baku surviving it even once. Certainly an interesting premise for Surpassing the Leader, I think.
@johan23
He'll have to suffer a penalty if he checks and the handkerchief isn't on the ground, yes. Doing that sort of thing is a risk for both sides though, since they have to accurately gauge 59 seconds, and Yakou will be strict about the 1 minute rule.
@BossCrab
Maybe not a Referee...
@vaur
We don't know how much of "being unable to do anything to Kadokura" was an act on Yakou's part. The fact does remain that he was fast enough to swap the handkerchiefs literally right in front of Kadokura.
Additionally, they did both land one hit on each other, which is why they're both...
Yakou-san's quite the gambler, isn't he~.
The ingenuity of it means Yakou will likely win, but I'd be okay with Kadokura presiding at this point, to be honest. He seems to have collected himself over the course of this match.
@BossCrab
In the scope of the story, no. But the hair itself is the result of an unusual diet. At least, that's what I recall being stated in a past comment section.
I don't believe that Yakou has his handkerchief. I'm relatively sure the one that Kadokura took was the one that is recognized as...
I was confused about who Yakou is referring to when he says all of them recognized someone as the most suitable. The obvious answer would be himself, considering the situation before Leader announced that only the presiding referee will witness the match, but then he's going his own location...
Holy shit, I was not ready for Kadokura teleporting behind Douji.
Only 3 referees left in the game, Takumi/Midara/Kadokura. Wonder how the match-ups will go.
Midara and his JoJo posing is great. If he can beat old man Nowa, he'll have the most handkerchiefs. Though now he'll have to contend with the fact that Nowa can actually walk.
@marcyvq
The story established that Yakou was Baku's referee using Kushinada, way back in ch. 72. The implication from there was that multiple people can have the same "exclusive" referee. This is also apparent in the actual exclusive referee conditions, where the first referee a person meets in...
@belkrax
That was burned during Yakou's fight with Bai Long, so this handkerchief without the crossed out No. 2 is Yakou's new one.
Ryuusei's name is Ooyama Nobuo. Do we know anyone who could be related to him?
I loved Kaji's reaction to hearing about what the first StL actually was. Baku talking about wanting to play a game of mind over luck, and then proposing the damn air vehicle idea.
I wonder if Nowa will end up showing off his ability to stand. Considering what he told fake Bai Long, I suppose not.
