@Byonbyon Your comment made me laugh, sorry 😂 Don't worry, I'm sure it's a common mistake to make for English speakers since our brains are wired to read that way.
Well, I can start to believe that Dowun actually cares about her (how much, we still don't know, but at least there's some tangible evidence now). He just really sucks at it LOL. I mean... completely understandable. His home seems to have been devoid of love anyway, we can assume that much. Also...
Like what some others have said here, it's good to finally start seeing Dowun's mask crack and his emotions getting shaken up. That panel of her smiling in the past... oof. The transitions of the visuals along with the thoughts of Dowun and the princess were really well done in this chapter.
Never seen the princess smile so happily... here's to hoping it won't disappear soon. Regarding the romance, at this point I don't think she has feelings for Baek Han, and with Dowun acting this way, it might be possible that she will give him another chance. Like many others have been...
I wasn't expecting this kind of shoujo development wut. If she pawns those earrings, he'll definitely find out. She should just hand it to the merchant fffffffffff
@Audettey This topic is pretty complicated so it's not easy to explain in a few sentences, but I think I understand where you're...
It's nice to see Dowun finally feeling insecure since he's always been in control of his own emotions lmaoo. Also, even though he's clearly jealous and feeling possessive, it doesn't mean he likes the princess in a romantic way. At this point in the story there still hasn't been enough evidence...
I don't think anyone has pointed this out, but what she's doing right now is fine as an Empress. Having a few lovers here and there doesn't really affect her reputation, but enforces the image that she's the one in charge. Right now, she needs allies that she can trust, because everyone around...
Oh nononono. I can see it already. The princess using Baek Han to irk or get Dowun's attention (or affection if possible...). Then Baek Han dying to protect her from Dowun's schemes of usurping and only then does she realize that he truly cared about her. I hope I'm wrong and I'm just spouting...
Not sure why alot of people seem surprised at the princess' decision. She said it herself, her ambition was to rise higher than her sister. So realistically, the first thing she has to throw away is her kindness. This was the direction that the story has been heading to.
I never liked Dowun the moment he was introduced, and as much as I don't like his character, I rather he be upfront with her like this. He's not manipulative in the sense that he told her his intentions from the start. He could've pretended to like her, or spin a reason as to why his brother...
LOL the teacher bursting into tears and saying 'for someone like you who is like a living corpse' hahahaha. There wasn't much romance, but the fluff was real; it hit all the right feels.
This was great, can definitely be expanded into a small series.
