As first chapters go, I think this kind of failed. Rather than making the reader curious, you're made far more confused and a result I felt it much harder to get any bearings on the plot.

Man what a chapter! Araki is really setting the stakes incredibly high, that stand is just.. intense. Cant shake this feeling that part 8 is gonna be the last Jojo. Feels like Araki has reached his peak, especially from the way he's talked about Jojolion before.

@leftman111 To a certain degree yes, in his book he said in order to make the story more fluid he never plans much out other than characters, the setting etc. A notable example he provided was the final battle in part 4, at the time he didnt even know if Josuke would survive or not!
