I mean, she did lose like... Everyone she knew and loved because her mother figure planned their deaths. I'd say she is pretty worthy of being despair.

I mean, Slime pretty much acts like the paragon/good karma/nice options in a video game. Like if you played a good karma character in Fallout 3 or something.
The explanation of Kumoko I like is basically using Slime and Overlord
Slime is like a good/Paragon run.
Overlord is like an evil/renegade run
And Kumoko is like opening up a Bethesda game and just killing the entire world because it seems like it might be entertaining

I feel like this is the biggest issue with it. The entire series up this point has been "Man, MC is honestly a pretty great guy. He deals with problems that are within the realm where you can suspend your disbelief and enjoy watching him find a solution as well as his interactions...
