Laius's face after chopping all those onions... I felt his pain...
I kept pair of goggles from my chemistry lab for the sole purpose of donning them whenever I have to chop onions.
I like how things have become so crazy that even the mad sorcerer can't follow.
I'd love to read more stories with good-intentioned necromancers like Marcille.
As funny as this chapter was, seeing Izutsumi grow so terrified that she died of a heart attack was heart-breaking*. ;o;
*pun not intended
I gotta say I respect Kabru, he seems to have the underdog's best interests in mind and is willing to slog through the diplomacy mire to get things done.
The dark skinned elf lady is so pretty. *w* I wonder about that little fairy that was flying through the air. Lazy Eye's casual abuse of it...
Ugh that was such a bad move on Laius's part. At least consult with your co-conspirators, especially Marcille, before spilling that kind of secret. And I'm glad Kabru decided to drop the thief thing, Misunderstandings are one of the most annoying sources of conflict in media.
I'm getting the feeling that being asked to work for free was just the straw on the camel's back on Namari. She was probably just done with her idiot boss.
I wonder if climbing up on the kelpie's back triggered her predation instinct... :[
Also this story has already corrupted me. As soon as I saw that horse, I started to think about what kind of tasty dishes they can think out of it. I wonder if I'll ever view mystical creatures the same.
With beer being worth so much, I imagine the brewery would be a pretty tempting place for thieves to hit. It makes me wonder why the place doesn't have any guards posted.
Honestly one of the most believable things about this manga is that a psychopathic douche like Melon has tons of crazy admirers. I wish he was killed off, imo he managed to drag this story's rating down 3 points all on his own and I really don't want him to show up in the future.
As unsuitable...
I love this chapter so much ahhh. I thought the chick was dead at first, so I couldn't quite follow why Bill was so conflicted about eating it, considering his regular trips to the back alley market. I wonder how the poor thing managed to survive so long without being incubated.
PINA BEST BOY...
@Pyoro
I was having similar thoughts when Emiri brought up the "it was sexist then, and it's sexist now" line. Manga is so rife with escapist fantasies that a story like this one, which challenges society's more insidious prejudices, is a rare and welcome find. It doesn't have many chapters...
The queen really makes the most out of the few appearances she has in this manga. It's a good thing the king has such a sensible woman by his side, he seems like a decent enough man, but his egotistical side needs to be kept in check.
I wouldn't be surprised if probably-fake Rio turned out to...
Those have to be some of the most catastrophically consequential trips I've ever seen in manga.
While all these shenanigans are going on, I can't help but wonder if Nyako's okay. :(
This was such a good placement for the mom's backstory... I was really frustrated by Legosi's naivety in letting Meron go, but it was the kid who desperately wanted to embrace his mother's tormented existed who made that decision. :(
