@Drinkfist I agree. Honestly, I think there's much more potential for the shaman if he went. The empire obviously has different beliefs so it would be interesting to see how the magic differs. The other guy has nothing to learn there. The only reason he's there is probably to try and stop MC...
I'm pretty sure this school arc is just to create conflict, but it would be nice if our MC learned more (I'm assuming) European diplomacy/culture/beliefs/etc.
