I think this is the first chapter where you can see that punpun's appearance is just a representation of how he sees himself, and he not actually a weird bird thing. I mean, it was obvious that he's just a regular person, but this is the first time you see that he has a normal human body.

@Bean_Soup I mean, it literally is a stereotype though. Not sure weather or not to consider it racist in the context of all the adults in this world (at the beginning of the story) being absurd charictures, but it is still a stereotype.
