@nokosama Chi no Wadachi is going to be the next Oshimis work I'll pick up. I greatly enjoyed Boku wa Mari no Naka, which is another one with some messed up parents.

@nokosama for me it was Mokoto saying goodbye to his mother that hit me the hardest.. Having read some of the Oshimis previous works this was probably the first parent of the protagonist in his stories who actually cared for their child.

I binged thought it and while some of the character-arc resolutions were very interesting overall I feel the second part is a bit of a letdown. It can be visually impressing at times and many scenes are full of emotion.

If I've experienced what happened in the last two chapters I might just actually believe in magic..
